Community Involvement

Community Involvement can be extremely rewarding both personally and professionally. Not only will you get to work with people of like-mind and on issues that you feel passionate about, but you will also gain credibility in the eyes of your peers, your employer and above all in the eyes of the Supreme Lord.

Some of the worthy causes you can participate are as follows:

Food for life

What makes Food for Life stand among the crowd is our deep commitment to improving the quality of life of the people we serve. Our philosophy of spiritual equality and respect for all life runs deeply throughout our organization, from the high quality of meals we serve, to the practical knowledge we share with our clients to better their lives.

Book Distribution

Distributing books is not a difficult task. Everyone and anyone can do it. (Please join us!) Prabhupada wrote to a disciple in 1972: "Never mind it takes little while to make progress, our process in slow but sure, and we are confident that if we continue in this way we shall go one day back to home, back to Godhead."

Outreach

Help us reach out the world. This whole world is suffering due to lack of Krishna consciousness. There are various tragedies this world comes across like hurricanes, Tsunamis, tornadoes but the biggest tragedy in this world is forgetfulness of the Supreme Lord. If you have faith and are willing to help us we can get our message across to thousands of people in the Greater Toronto Area. You can help us in several ways:

  • Making phone calls
  • Updating our Database
  • E-Mail Marketing
  • Inviting people for various festivals celebrated in the temple.

Ratha-Yatra

Serving Lord Jagannath has a very special feel to it. He is most merciful to all his servants in more ways than can be imagined.
